Floral Dresses for Spring/ Summer 2018

I know florals for Spring aren’t exactly groundbreaking, but they’re definitely pretty in my eyes! I always have a thing for floral print and warm weather always calls for a breathable, colorful dress, decorated with flowers. However, I tend to prefer floral print on dark colours more than paste shade as I could easily cruise them into Fall/ Winter.

I really adore this floral print dress from Shein. I must admit this is definitely my favourite piece from their site! The fabric is really lightweight and soft, making it the perfect piece to beat the heat. Showcasing a black hue, it gives you endless versatility when comes to styling. Besides, you could also cruise into any season. If you’re not confident in pulling off bold floral print, this dress is definitely perfect as the floral print is pretty subtle. I also love how this dress features so many trendy detailing.

For instance, mix print of polka dots and floral, ruffle trim, wrap cut and puff sleeves.

To complement this dress, I wore a gold accent layered necklace and a pair of stud earrings. To inject that spring/ summer vibes, I wore a pair of espadrille wedges. This dress also looks great with a basket bag and a straw hat.

If you want to show off more skin. This short sleeves wrap dress is definitely a great option. Crafted with utterly soft mesh fabric, this dress shows off your skin without really baring it all. I’m loving the floral print that dancing all over the dress, giving off the dreamy and feminine vibes. This dress also features a daring plunging neckline that highlights your collarbone and curves. Not to mention, the frill accent definitely adds a romantic accent.

For this outfit, I teamed this dress with a gold accent choker necklace, a pair of gold statement earrings and a pair of black lace-up high heel sandals.

How to Style: 1 Floral Print Top 2 Ways

Floral print has become one of the timeless print that you could literally cruise from Spring to Winter! I love how floral print is so versatile and gives you plenty of opportunities to mix and match with other fashion pieces.

  1. For a more feminine aesthetic you could wear in Spring or Summer, team them with white pieces (such as a white skirt or any bright colours pieces). Or you may opt for bouquets in bold and bright colors, or in watercolor pastels.
  2. If you want something edgier you could cruise into Fall and Winter, tone it down. Even thought floral prints can be bright and bold, you can easily tone down your floral pattern by wearing them with black pieces. Or the easiest way is to throw them on with a classic denim jacket, a slick, leather jacket, and sporty footwear or your badass combat boots.

Look 1

For a feminine and edgy look you could wear to a date night, I team a black floral print ruffled sleeves top (from Zara) with a black leather skirt (from Topshop). To inject a feminine accent, I wore a pair of black pointed-toe flats and wore a classic red lipstick. Lastly, I finished off my look by carrying a black chain leather crossbody.

Look 2

For the second look, I wanted something casual yet put together to cruise from 9 to 5 and anything in between. Hence, I teamed the floral top with a pair of black distressed jeans (from Topshop). For shoes, I slipped into a pair of black suede mules. To create that clean look, I pulled my hair into a sleek ponytail. Lastly, I wore a pair of hoop earrings and carried a black leather chain crossbody and call it a day!

Tie-Front Top That French Girls Always Instagram

Is it just me or have you noticed the tie-front crop top has been floating all over Instagram? After doing a little e-commerce deep-dive, I’ve discovered that this shirt style is at most of our favourite retailers – and it makes sense.

Maybe it’s the weather, or maybe it’s the fact that every painfully chic Parisian I follow on Instagram seems to own at least one of them. I’m SO obsessed with em! I love how the tie accent elevates your look instantly. Not to mention, it also shows off a glimpse of your skin in a flattering manner.

Hence, if you have the impulse to show a little extra skin, keep scrolling to find out some tips on styling tie-front crop top, and how I style this trend.

*** This post is sponsored by Romwe and this floral print flare-sleeved tie-front top is my pick. As usual, these are all my honest opinions.

Tips on styling tie-front crop top

  1. If you don’t want to show off too much skin, high rise bottoms such as mom jeans, or high rise skirt are always the best alternatives. Besides, this pairing also elongates your figure.
  2.  Tying up an actual button-down leaves the fabric bunchy and annoying, and to avoid that I always opt for those which have pre-tied designs just like the top I’m wearing now!

P.S. Don’t be a stranger, let’s connect on Instagram as well!

I’ve got to say, I’m quite impressed by the quality of this top! The fabric is super soft yet it doesn’t get wrinkly easily which is my favourite! Perfect to pack in your tropical getaway suitcase! And if you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you would realise that this top is SO me! It showcases all my favourite trends. First, it has this beautiful mustard yellow hue I’ve been vibin’ for. Second, the enticing floral prints that dancing all over it, giving that dreamy summer vibe. Third, it features a flowy flare sleeves! OMGEEE what else can I ask for?! And lastly, it showcases a tie-front crop silhouette that shows off a glimpse of your stomach!

For this look, I want to channel that Parisian vibe. Instead of a pair of denim shorts, I teamed it with my medium washed high rise mom jeans as I want to look more sophisticated. Not only the high rise fit looks flattering on my stomach, it also balances the sexy accent of the top. To complement that effortlessly vibe, I teamed it with my all-time-favourite black mules. Lastly, I finished off my look with a chain strap black crossbody bag and a pair of gold geometric earrings.

That Floral Print Ruffle Top Tho

Hey peeps, it’s weekend again which means another lookbook from me. This season is all about how serious your flower power game is! And if you’re a fan of floral print like me, this is definitely a great opportunity to wear all your favourite floral pieces!

For a chic and elevated weekend look, I teamed this floral print sheer long sleeved blouse with my Levi’s 311 shaping skinny jeans, and a pair of black slips.

I absolutely love this floral print top from Zara as it features a unique and gorgeous floral print. I don’t really come across anything similar like this before. And of course the ruffle neck is a huge plus point! Aside from these, the long cuffed sleeves with ruffle deets make me love this top even more. First, they give you the versatility to cruise into any occasion. Second, they cover all your flaws! Talk about those untoned arms lol. P.S the sheer kind of fabric also shows off your skin without really revealing all, making it very flirty but in a modish manner.

I teamed it with Levi’s shaping skinny to make all the attentions on my blouse. I don’t prefer too many details scatter all around the place. Besides, the uneven hem (which I d.i.y) will elongate my leg.

If you don’t favor pants, you can always team it with a mini skirt for a flirty and girlish finish.

If you want to make something for yourself, work harder than everybody else

Show Em Your Shoulder with Floral Print Cold Shoulder Top

Off-shoulder, one shoulder, or cold shoulder, I’m totally lusting over them and seriously hoping they will stick around! Not only they give off that subtle sexy vibe by showing off some skin without bearing it all, they are also the perfect pieces to look put together effortlessly.

For this look, I wanted something feminine, so I teamed my new purchase, burgundy floral print cold shoulder top with my favourite short denim skirt. I absolutely love this cold shoulder top as it features a halter neckline! If you’ve cold or off shoulder tops, you probably know the struggle of making sure they stay in place! But with the help of halter neckline, there’s no need to keep on adjusting those fallen stripes! The other reason I love this top is the breathable fabric that makes it easy for wearing in tropical climate!

For bag, I’ve chosen a burgundy mini crossbody to complement the colour of my top. To spice up the look I wear a pair of dazzling long hoop earrings. Lastly, I slipped into my black pointed-toe flats and called it a day!
