Flamingo Print Off-Shoulder Dress for SS17

If you have noticed, pink flamingo is such a big hit this year. And I’m absolutely vibin this pink birds as they give off that perfect summer vibe and also enliven your mood with that bright pink hue.

Whether it is the gigantic pink flamingo float you kept seeing on your Instagram feed, flamingo phone cases or flamingo print clothes, they are literally everywhere this season! There is seriously no limit when comes to this trend.

Hence, when I come across this utterly beautiful green off-the-shoulder dress with palm leaf and flamingo print at Mango, I fall in love at the first sight and decided to jump in this flamingo bandwagon.

I love how Mango combined off-shoulder silhouette with ruffles and tropical print! It is definitely a triple win which utterly perfect for the spring and summer! I also absolutely adore how the pink complements the green hue so well. To be honest, I never come across this unique colour combination of dress and never imagine I will be getting my hands on em. Not to forget I love how this off-the-shoulder dress comes with the shoulder straps so you don’t have to worry about fumbling with the fabric or constantly pulling your shirt up, that’s always annoying. Thus, having the straps there is key!

P.S. this dress is made of quality fabric so it worths every penny!

To create that summer look which I can cruise from brunch session to dinner date, I team it with my new purchase, a pair of espadrilles with ankle strap! I REALLY love this pair of beauts from H&M. They are pretty affordable and SO comfort to live in even though they are pretty high. Besides, it also elongates your legs! You will look freaking tall and lean in it.

If you have any straw bag, it will definitely complement this look. Since I do not own any for this moment, I finished off this look with a mini black crossbody.

Mustard Yellow x White Outfit for SS17

Mustard yellow has been my jam for awhile. Whenever I see mustard yellow, I just couldn’t help but to get my hands on them (loll another valid excuse to shop more).

Since, now is Summer, I personally think mustard yellow is the perfect colour to enliven your mood as well as spice up your everyday outfit by adding a pop of colour. Not to forget, this colour makes any of your outfit a statement look everyone couldn’t walk by without noticing.

For this look, I wanted that chic summery look which you can rock to the beach, brunch session or running errands. For top, I’ve picked an off-the-shoulder cropped top in this beautiful mustard yellow shade. I absolutely diggin’ off shoulder silhouette as it shows off a glimpse of your skin without really bearing it all. Besides, this top also features a cute crop cut that allows you to flash your toned abs (if you have it, flaunt it!) which makes this top my ultimate favourite.

I then teamed the mustard yellow top with a pair of white denim shorts. P.S Whenever you think of what colour you should pair with mustard yellow, always go for the primary colours, such as black and white.

I really love this pair of white shorts. It has been a long while since I come across any decent white shorts but this definitely up to par! First, the cut is pretty relax, so it is extremely comfy to live in. Second, it features lace-up detailing on both sides, which makes me adore it even more! Then, it is finished off with a raw hem that injects the edgy accent.

To complete this outfit, I wore a black statement belt which comes with gorgeous studs detailing to cinch my waist, a choker necklace, a minimal white ring crossbody, and a pair of white sling back platform.

Denim on Denim

Denim, the ultimate wardrobe staple I can never live without. It’s definitely a rare day if I’m not wearing denim. Regardless it’s a pair of jeans, denim skirt, denim jacket, I usually will have at least one piece on.

For this weekend look, I decided to channel the “denim on denim” a.k.a ‘double denim” look. For the top, instead of opting a denim shirt, I thought why not play around by wearing my cropped light washed denim jacket as a top itself. And it actually turned out pretty well! I like how it creates that contrasting effect and complements my dark washed denim skirt. Instead of button all the way down, I left out the two buttons to add a fun twist.

Tips: The trick of channeling denim on denim look is always coordinating different shades.

For bottom, I chose my all time favourite, a dark washed short denim skirt from Topshop. By far, this is my favourite denim skirt as it features a high rise fit that looks absolutely flattering on any body type (yup it covers your “Baby Bum” lol). The second thing which makes me obsess with this beaut is the A-line silhouette that makes you look leaner!

To spice up this outfit, I wore a pink neck tie as a choker itself. Then, I layered a dainty silver necklace to add more details to it. In order to make my choker stands out, I pulled my hair into a sleek ponytail. For bag, I picked a pink mini chain crossbody to add a pop of colour and also complements the shade of my choker. Lastly, I finished off my look with a pair of Adidas Stan Smith.

*** Sorry for not posting last week. I’ve been suffering from severe gastric and food poisoning. It’s been a pretty tough week, but I’m getting better now and can’t wait to share more outfit posts with you guys. xoxo
